◎简　　介　
　　西汉汉元帝年间，西域都护府大都护霍安遭奸人陷害，沦为奴役，被刺配至雁门关修城。恰在此时，罗马将军卢魁斯护卫遭到哥哥迫害的罗马小王子逃命至雁门关。双雄在西域戈壁相遇，从开始的兵戎相见到惺惺相惜，最终化敌为友。一日，霍安为洗清自己冤屈四处追查时，无意间撞破了好兄弟殷破与罗马大王子提比斯不可告人的秘密。与此同时，提比斯为追杀卢魁斯与小王子一行人也亲自带兵赶来西域。为保护小王子和西域诸国的安危，霍安与卢魁斯联手与提比斯在戈壁大漠展开了一场生死之战......
花絮
.拍摄过《见龙卸甲》、《鸿门宴》等多部古装电影的香港导演李仁港，在《天将雄师》中是首次与成龙合作。
.《天将雄师》剧组工作人员来自于五湖四海，工作人员之间交流常要用到包括汉语、粤语、英语、法语、德语、日语、韩语等十多种语言交流，沟通和管理起来都相当有难度。
.“筷子兄弟”大银幕处女作《老男孩之猛龙过江》是由李仁港导演亲自监制，因此《天将雄师》成了双方的再次合作。
.谈及阿德里安·布洛迪的加盟，成龙表示自己用一顿饭就搞定了他。
.据剧组人员透露，在敦煌拍摄时，每天剧组能吃掉2800个馒头，喝掉饮用水近百吨。
.剧组的道具库占地面积2500平米，道具多达10万余件，其中超过6万件道具为纯手工打造，成龙也亲自参与到道具的设计中。
.剧组每天的工作人员数量高达700多人，跋涉4000公里取景横店、敦煌、阿克塞等地，制作费达到4亿人民币。
.剧组在沙漠戈壁的恶劣环境中工作了两个多月，因当地环境恶劣，剧组拍摄期间数次遭遇沙尘暴和酷暑等极端天气，约翰·库萨克、阿德里安·布洛迪等国际影星纷纷表示虽然艰苦，但也是一种特别的经历。
.在《天将雄师》中，成龙饰演的西域大都护霍安以维护西域和平为己任，但他并不是“一个人在战斗”，而是拥有一支骁勇善战的“维和敢死队”。电影之外，成龙同样有一帮忠心耿耿的兄弟——成家班。
